Phnom Penh, December 5, 2025 — The Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia (CAC) has been invited to take part in a three-day program organized by the Ministry of Commerce (MoC) as part of the Cambodia Trade Expo 2025. The event aims to strengthen the country’s export capacity and promote deeper understanding of trade policy among Cambodia’s future generation of exporters.
December 4, the Ministry of Commerce hosted a Roundtable Forum titled “Youth Education in the Commerce Sector: Promoting Understanding of Trade Policy for Future Export-Import Leaders” Phnom Penh. The forum gathered experienced policymakers, trade specialists, and sector experts to discuss Cambodia’s evolving trade landscape and share practical insights on export-import management.

The Ministry of Commerce announced that an additional forum focusing on Cambodia’s export sector is held on December 5, 2025, under the theme “Enhancing Cambodian Exporters Towards Global Success, Focusing on Quality Standards and International Markets.” The upcoming session aims to support Cambodian businesses in improving product quality, meeting international certification requirements, and boosting their competitiveness in major markets such as the European Union and Germany.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Cambodia Trade Expo 2025 on December 4, H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), emphasized the country’s ongoing commitment to strengthening trade relations. He noted that although Cambodia was the first nation globally to sign a trade agreement with the United States at a tariff rate of 19%, the government is continuing negotiations to seek further reductions—particularly for high-potential export products destined for the U.S. market.

The 18th Cambodia Trade Expo 2025 features 163 companies and enterprises showcasing their products and services across 269 exhibition booths. The event serves as a vital platform for connecting Cambodian producers with international investors and expanding the global presence of Cambodian goods. Among the exhibitors are member companies from the Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia, highlighting the sector’s growing role in the country’s export ambitions.
The three-day program is expected to contribute meaningfully to building a stronger, more globally competitive Cambodian export sector while fostering collaboration between the government, private companies, and international stakeholders.
