The new update from the Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fishery has revealed that the productive farm of cashews is 580,000 hectares. Some 15 per cent are newly planted cashews in the old farm that has cleared due to old and unproductive cashew trees.

CAC has not updated its figures since 2022 due to no support from any donors to get the satellite image.
