The Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia (CAC) organized a business matching (B2B) forum on February 22, 2026, at the Polytechnic Institute of Kampong Thom, bringing together farmer groups, buyers and financial institutions to strengthen Cambodia’s cashew value chain.
A total of 54 participants attended the event, including representatives from 22 agricultural cooperatives across Kampong Thom, Preah Vihear, Stung Treng, Ratanakiri, Siem Reap, Kampong Cham and Phnom Penh.
Six companies expressed interest in purchasing raw cashew nuts (RCN) directly from farmers and agricultural cooperatives. They included CSNC Agriculture Co., Ltd, Khmer Agro Cashew Co., Ltd, Harvest Centre (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, Mirarth Agritec Co., Ltd, Pinex Agro Co., Ltd and Giant Cashew Enterprise.
The forum was also attended by representatives from Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), AMK Microfinance Institution, Wing Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training. CAC also welcomed an unofficial feasibility study delegation led by the Deputy Governor of Siem Reap province.
Silot Uon, President of CAC, praised several companies for signing contracts to purchase raw cashew nuts during the previous B2B event. He emphasized that CAC continues to seek practical solutions for both farmers and buyers to help them reach mutually beneficial agreements.
Last season, CAC conducted three B2B events aimed at reducing the outflow of raw cashew nuts to neighboring countries in order to stabilize domestic prices. According to CAC, these efforts have contributed to maintaining acceptable RCN prices over the past two years.
During the event, CAC underscored the importance of complying with the national cashew standards imposed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (MAFF) to prevent inconsistencies in product quality. Companies reiterated their demand for high-quality raw cashew nuts and pledged to offer competitive prices.
Financial institutions, including AMK, ARDB, and Wing Bank, also presented flexible loan options tailored for middlemen, farmers, and agricultural cooperatives. CAC further demonstrated quality control procedures to ensure that suppliers understand buyers’ requirements, reinforcing efforts to enhance trust and transparency across the cashew supply chain.
