Phnom Penh, October 22, 2025 — The National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), in partnership with the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), is hosting a high-level consultative workshop today focused on “Promoting Green Digital Finance in Cambodia.” The event is being held at Raffles Le Royal Hotel in Phnom Penh.
The workshop serves as a platform to present and validate preliminary findings from an ongoing research project aimed at advancing green digital finance in the country. It also seeks to gather further input from key stakeholders across both the public and private sectors.
Participants include representatives from government ministries, international development partners, the Association of Banks in Cambodia, the Cambodia Microfinance Association, trade associations, the Chamber of Commerce, banking and financial institutions, private enterprises, and financial technology (FinTech) firms.
Among the invited stakeholders is the Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia (CAC), which has been actively engaged in the research process. CAC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of green digital finance initiatives in the Kingdom.
The workshop reflects a growing recognition of the role that digital financial solutions can play in promoting environmentally sustainable economic growth in Cambodia, while also aligning with broader regional goals of green finance and innovation.
This collaboration between NBC and ERIA underscores Cambodia’s dedication to fostering a financial ecosystem that is both inclusive and environmentally responsible.
