Phnom Penh — The Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia (CAC) has been invited to serve as a guest speaker at the World Cashew Conference (WCC), scheduled to take place in Dubai, UAE, on January 30, 2026, marking another milestone in Cambodia’s growing presence in the global cashew industry.
CAC President Silot Uon welcomed the invitation, calling it a valuable opportunity to contribute to international discussions and share insights on Cambodia's rapidly expanding cashew sector. The CAC, represented by Vice President Mr. Suy Kok-Thean, is expected to highlight production trends, export performance, and the country's long-term potential as a major supplier of cashews.
The CAC has also been recognized as a strategic partner of the World Cashew Conference, having previously played an active role during the 2023 WCC held in Siem Reap, Cambodia. During that event, the CAC facilitated the participation of its member cashew-processing enterprises and organized field study tours to cashew plantations. These visits allowed international delegates to observe firsthand the scale, quality, and growth potential of Cambodian cashew production.
Kok-Thean stated that the CAC expressed its appreciation to the WCC for continuously providing platforms that enable Cambodia to showcase its cashew industry to international buyers and investors, strengthening global market linkages.
According to unofficial figures from the Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia, the country’s cashew production in 2025 reached approximately 1,020,757 tons. Of this total, around 1,000,757 tons of raw cashew nuts were exported to international markets, generating an estimated $1.5 billion in revenue. This represents a 27 percent increase compared to the previous year.
The association estimates that Cambodia’s total cashew cultivation area now stands at about 700,000 hectares, underscoring the sector’s expanding footprint and its importance to the national agricultural economy.
With rising production, strong export growth, and increasing international recognition, CAC officials say Cambodia is well-positioned to strengthen its role in the global cashew value chain in the years ahead, and Cambodia still ranks second for RCN producer globally.
